Concept of Teaching or Teaching Philosophy
Pharmacology is the science of drugs (Greek: Pharmacon—drug; logos—discourse in). In a broad sense, it deals with interaction of exogenously administered chemical molecules with living systems. It encompasses all aspects of knowledge about drugs, but most importantly those that are relevant to effective and safe use for medicinal purposes.
Pharmacology is very vast and one of the most interesting subjects in the medical curriculum. Pharmacology as a subject is taught in multiple methods like interactive lectures, seminars and tutorials and group discussions. Our concept of teaching is more focused on learning. We always encourage student to learn the subject curiously by giving case-based scenarios. We are having student centric approach to the teaching where we identify learning needs from the student.
